Design and Technology involves applying a range of real life practical skills when designing and making products

The activities undertaken enable our children to consider the needs of individuals and society. Undertaking design and technology activities in school give our children opportunities to use a range of materials and processes.They think about the intended user, purpose and functionality of a product before designing and innovating a product with authenticity using tools from different DT aspects including woodwork, textiles, electronics, cooking and nutrition, graphics and CAMS. Our design process enables children to design and make products that are believable, real and meaningful to themselves and other.
